Christmas 2019
We stayed here at short notice and what a treat it was. There were only a handful of us over the Christmas period which was probably due to it being the first year it was open for this period, New Year was the opposite and fully booked but fortunately we left before then. We found Jo and Malcolm extremely helpful and friendly - inviting everyone in for a glass of wine and mince pie before Christmas. As others have said it's a short walk to the village, you don't have to walk on the road as there is a footpath if you turn left out of the site and go up and over the bridge. We agree with the previous comments about the Motorhome Service Point as you have to reverse back from reception to gain access to it which can be difficult if there is someone else in the queue. Apparently OH said the men's facilities were in need of upgrading but nice and clean, the Ladies are very small with only 4 showers so I wouldn't like to be there when the site is full, they were however spotlessly clean. In my opinion this isn't a site for children as there doesn't seem to be much for them in the area. Plenty of dog walks from the site. All in all we enjoyed our stay very much.
