All we wanted was a short get away for bank holiday and within easy reach of home (50 miles). Site exceeded our expectations. Very close to Cheddar village and shops. Took our bikes and rode the Strawberry Line as far as Sandiford and Thatcher's Cider factory. A pleasant and not difficult ride. Wardens really are very customer focused and take time to welcome visitors. Probably the best I have met so far. Well done to Jo Malcolm and the team. Cheddar village is a small place with a touristy feel. Shop around for what ever it is you are looking for as typically prices are targeted at tourists. Plenty places to eat and drink, all within walking distance. Small and friendly. Down side are the limited shower and toilet facilities, which are spotlessly clean and well maintained. :-)
