Having read the positive reviews for this site, I absolutely despair. We spent one night in glorious weather and it was utterly depressing. God knows what it’s like in poor weather. Basically it’s like pitching on an Asda car park minus the charm. Unless you were savvy enough to book a grass pitch (we weren’t) you’ll be pitched on a (probably sloping) chunk of tarmac. In fairness some pitches have great views of the Cotswold Hills but most don’t and many have the sun blocked by one of the huge grandstands. On the positive side there’s a lovely park about 15 minutes walk away and the centre of Cheltenham is only 30 minutes or so. Oh, and it’s very cheap but to be honest I’d want paying to stop here again. Grim. But not like the fairy tales.
