One of the best

Yet another stay at Clachan, we estimate that we have stayed here for 22 weeks or more over the past 18 years, which hows how much we love this site and the area. The site itself is in a beautiful setting, largely wooded and in tiers with egress from the middle tier being somewhat complicated due to the one way system. The only other downside for us is that there are some pitches where you have to have an awning to stay on them, during busy periods at least, (of course this is not unique to Clachan). Red squirrels and many woodland birds, including hooting owls(!) add to the interest but I suspect that the Scottish midge may be a hazard in the Summer months! The area itself is full of beauty and interest in all weathers and plenty of excellent tearooms in a 30 mile radius. Clachan really is one of the Club's crown jewels.
