Peaceful and rural site

I loved the setting for the Coed-y-Llyn site and it was very quiet and peaceful. The facilities were excellent - very clean and warm too! The site is quite a way from Snowden itself but there are lots of other places to visit, hills to walk and trails to cycle. The WiFi was up and down during my stay but this was being sorted out.

Peaceful Site

Stayed over the summer - 2 adults & a teenager. Very quiet and peaceful site in a fairly remote location - great for relaxing, with a bit of cycling. New facilities block is immaculate, and wardens were very friendly and helpful. Pub over the road is highly recommended - food was delicious.

Well worth a Visit

This is a great site, the facilities are upgraded and kept spotless. The site is very peaceful, well laid out and easy to use as a base to visit surrounding areas like Harlech Castle, Llandudno and there is a great walk through fields and woodlands to the Trawsfynydd Lake. The wardens are very friendly and chatty. We would highly recommend the site and look forward to visiting again.

Fantastic… best site in the club!

We found this camp site last year and visited twice. It was fantastic then, and we couldn’t wait to book back up this year We heard they were renovating before we arrived so were looking forward to seeing the changes and were blown away The pitches have been improved, the shower block had been completely knocked down and rebuilt and the rest of the sites Infrastucture improved The site is managed by Debbie and the team who do a fantastic job. It’s well kept and has so many small personal touches The site is well laid out with a lot of greenery and amazing views The shower block is spotless having just been rebuilt with a huge family bathroom and a double door system in the general areas which means it’s never shut for cleaning There’s a nice dog walk, area for children to play and across the road is a great pub which you can easily walk to with a good menu and large outdoor space. Snowdonia area is beautiful with so many thinks to do It’s by far our best site in the club and we can’t wait to visit again

Recommended!

Of the few CAMC sites we've been to so far this has been the best - facilities were brand new, spacious and super clean with ample hot water. The site itself is more interesting and varied than others we've been too with nice flat pitches laid out around a winding undulating road with various little cul-de-sacs. Good family-friendly pub right outside too - 2min walk. We'll be back.

Ciclyst friendly

The campsite is very nice and well-kept with modern facilities. In particular, the pit station for the bicycles also impressed us very much. Because not only in Switzerland, but also in Wales und England we cycle a lot. Thank you for staying on this campsite

Stunning

Quite simply the site is stunning and made even better with the location. This site is perfectly located in Snowdonia with so much to do and see. Hiking up Snowdon and every other mountain. Lakes and Reservoirs, Waterfalls and country walks. I would highly recommend visiting Cwm Idwal as the Lake and mountains are stunning. The site itself is spotless. Each pitch is perfectly sized and the staff were very friendly and welcoming. We spent 10 days here and even then there is not enough time to see everywhere. The Bryn Arms just an across the road is a gorgeous little pub/restaurant and the food is stunning. All in all can’t sit to go back. Thanks for having us and see you very soon

Fab stay at Coed-Y-Llwyn

Wow what can we say, first time here and will very much be back, great staff all were friendly and were happy to offer help and advice when one of our awning poles went pop with a loud bang. The toilet block was great, the showers in particular were well thought out and planned with plenty of hooks for all your clothes, towels and bags, very impressed and very clean too, a credit to the club. Well worth a visit as was the Bryn Arms directly opposite, would advise to book a table to eat especially on a Friday or Saturday night. We visited Zip World, Porthmadog and the Ffestiniog Railway, all well worth a visit as there are lots of independent shops in Porthmadog. Loved the dragon that greeted you as you arrived and the water feature, the whole site was very well maintained a credit to the team , well done all.

What a team! Debbie and the other site wardens make this place special!

This is our second time at Coed Y Llwyn and we have not been disappointed. Debbie, Michelle, Darren, Warren and Beverley are brilliant site wardens and they have all gone the extra mile to make the site look its best. Debbie has brightened the place up with beautiful bedding plants around the entrance to the site. There is a lovely wooden house that looks great in the daytime, but lights up and is magical after dark. Take not of the dragon water feature on the left hand side opposite the office. It’s small, but it took quite a time to get it working correctly. Mainly thanks to Darren’s patience! Take time to look at the small gardens that have been made around the site. There are pieces of engraved slate, done by Michelle. There is a Platinum Jubilee garden, a Coronation garden and a memorial garden for Debbie’s late husband. The facilities are brand new for this season and are fantastic. They close half at a time to ensure that there is always somewhere to shower or a toilet available. The location speaks for itself and there is loads to see and do in the area. Mountains to climb, roads to cycle and steam railways to ride on! You will not be disappointed with this location, give it a go and enjoy Wales, we definitely did and we will be back!
