Disappointed

I cannot knock the first impression of this site nor the greeting by the staff, however when you move further into the site from the entrance the pitches are not well kept. Ours had weeds that were a foot tall and the grass had obviously not been cut for some time. At night there was also a constant humming noise from the nearby power station which is definitely a blot on the landscape and in view from our pitch. The staff were friendly and the toilets immaculate but would not return.

A lovely peaceful weekend break

Literally just got home from a weekend at Coed-Y-Llwyn and really impressed with the site. Check in was a pleasure - being greeted by name as I walked into the office, and with available pitches marked on the site plan, making it so much easier to quickly and easily find a pitch. The site itself is spread across several areas, the first being an open loop giving a spacious feel and then well spread out pitches in groups between the trees. Lots of nice touches like the 'help yourself' herbs in plant pots near reception, and well kept flowers in pots. Other people have commented on the narrow access road - it wasn't a problem with a 7'6" caravan, it's a residential road with cars parked on on side. One pointer when leaving site - the T-junction onto the main A road is on quite a hill - if there's a queue it can be a bit of a steep hill start especially if you've got a heavy caravan. Overall worth it though - we'll definitely be back.

Excellent site

Stayed two nights last minute booking. Very friendly and helpful staff waiting until our arrival to close the office. Very clean and quiet with good access to surrounding attractions. Betws y coed village a must visit. Only small gripe for me was there are only 3 showers so early showers meant a small queue but not a major concern just an observation. Great pub/food 2 minutes walk. We would have no hesitation in staying again. Thank you Malcolm & Denise Newcastle upon Tyne

Lovely 3 night visit

We had a very relaxing stay for three nights. A very tight entrance to site. Very clean and good facilities. We walked to the reservoir which was stunning and also to the local waterfall which was extremely beautiful.good dog walk on site. Lots of fields with sheep in so off lead exercise for dogs is limited.

Welcoming and relaxing

We have just left this site and I really wish we were still there. We had a very warm welcome from Ian and his lovely wife who were very accommodating and friendly. The site has lots of little areas so you don’t feel on top of each other and it has a really relaxed atmosphere. We found the facilities very clean and more than adequate. Plenty of hooks in the showers to keep your belongings dry and lots of lovely hot water flowing well. We found plenty to do in the area hence wish we had stayed longer. Had a lovely meal at the Bryn Arms which was so close to walk to. I really don’t have anything negative to say we don’t generally stay on club sites but would definitely return to this one. Thank you so much for providing us with a lovely holiday destination.

Holiday fun

Just come back from a a lovely week. This site is fab for a base to do all the local activities like climbing Snowdonia, zip world. The site is lovely and clean and the wardens are friendly and helpful. The pub across the road serves good food decent helpings and value for money. My only complaint would be the bins are at the reception area instead of at the water/waste area like all the other sites area. But it hasn’t put me off and would stay here again 😊

Beautiful site but

stayed here for a week in June .The site is well situated to explore north wales it is very clean and the staff was excellent and couldn't do enough to help BUT the facility's Ie the showers was atrocious although they was spotlessly cleaned they are unfit for purpose there isn't anywhere to put tour cloths when showering except a plastic stool ,there is no shower curtain in between the shower and the part you get dressed so the floor is flooded and it is impossible to get dressed without getting your cloths wet .the other complaint is why no bins by the water stations you have to walk up to the office to find a bin.would i stay again yes but would like to see some changes

Couldn't be happier with this site

From the get go this place made Our Holiday Great from the Beginning... The weather may have helped as it was Glorious everyday & we seemed to have pitched up in a sun trap area which was great in the evenings To eat & chill alfresco. The Staff where all very friendly & accommodating especially Ian With Great knowledge of The surrounding areas any many other places around Wales. Thanks Ian The site was very clean and Tidy including all amenities. Lots of water/waste stations in close walking distance & very well maintained grassyareas. The only downside We found was the dog walking area on site is very small but saying that We walked our dogs off site everyday so wasn't a problem. We will definitely be back as there is so much to do around the surrounding areas & didn't have time in the 10 days we were there to do it all All in all A great stay Thank You

Fantastic

Don’t know where to start but this site was fantastic. Arrived at 7.30pm to friendly happy wardens, told us which pitches were available and which would be best for our twin axle., explained layout/ where facilities were etc on site. All five wardens were extremely helpful and friendly at all times, never come across a more helpful team. Facilities were clean and tidy as was the site. Lots of comings and goings with people staying for one or two nights but extremely well managed and a lovely peaceful site. Walk to the waterfall us a must as is a visit to the Bryan Arms across the road. It was definitely worth the drive from Cornwall and we’ll definitely be back.
