Easter Break
This campsite is set in a large forest, not far from Coniston and a path leads down to the lakeside. Although set into the hillside, the terraced hard standings make it feel quite secluded with 4 or 5 pitches to each 'bay'. We had a pitch across the road from a toilet block, which was clean and easy to use - the disabled facility accessed with our RADAR key were superb. We had requested to be near to it as we are both disabled, and even though we were by the roadside, it was still quiet and peaceful. The staff were very helpful, even when we found the gas valve was stuck, they were very helpful with suggestions. Will probably go again in the future, but our next trip is in Wales.
If you are considering going to the site, its worth noting that they are carrying out essential maintenance to the top of the site from May, so there may be some disruption.
