Arrived Sunday afternoon and received a lovely warm welcome from the wardens. Enjoyed the peace and tranquility the site offered with added bonus of visiting Deer each morning grazing in the grounds. Easy walks to local pubs which served great food and beer, highly recommend The Black Bull serves food all day every day of the week. Weather held up for the week only had one morning of rain so enjoyed visits to Windermere, Ambleside, Hawkshead and Kendal supporting local businesses. The wardens work really hard and site was immaculate at all times and always took time out to say hello and engage in conversations with visitors.
