Coniston is such a great start point for so many lovely Lake District walks. We have had just under a week at the Coniston site, our first at this location - this site has so much potential. Needless to say, the rainfall can be significant which means the facility here needs fully functional and adequate capacity for outdoor wear drying as wet clothes inside Motorhomes or caravans aren’t great..! It was disappointing therefore to find the site poorly prepared for wet wear drying and also some recognition, by site staff, that this might be a priority for members. I’m sure looking a little more closely at catering for fell walking by members might improve the sites ‘off season’ utilisation combining well with the current club offer of 50% off midweek bookings.. Just an idea CAMC..😃🙏
