Our first stay at Coniston. Very different from the usual sites within the club, in a good way. The site covers a massive area with pitches in various locations. It’s within easy walking distance of the Lake and also into Coniston itself. Ideal spot for families to enjoy the freedom and utilise the Lake for various activities. Staff were friendly and informative , all facilities were maintained to a high standard. Liked the fact we could arrive after 10 am , made a huge difference to our day. My only negative was actually reaching the site from the North. The road from Ambleside certainly isn’t an A road. It’s very tight and not very pleasant to drive along.
