Coniston Park Coppice is a lovely site with good facilities. It is a great location for visiting southern lakes attractions, mountain biking, and lake activities. It is a bit of a distance from the lake for carrying paddleboards and kayaks or canoes, downhill to the lake and a long walk uphill back. It’s about a 30 minute walk in to Coniston village, but this is mainly on footpaths through farm land, where sheep and cattle roam freely. The site is on a slope, in woodland, the pitches are mainly gravel, and some are quite small. The staff are nice and welcoming, the facilities are lovely and clean. At the time we were there, the dog/bike wash hose was snapped so was not useable. This was our third stay in a little over a year, and although the weather wasn’t the best, we enjoyed our stay This is a lovely site for a peaceful break away from the crowds
