Friendly site

Probably the warmest welcome we have ever had on a club site - and let's face it most wardens are absolutely great, so well done Daleacres! The site was busy over the Easter period but the smiles never faded. With a good play area and large field the site is great for families with children. The toilet facilities are modern and immaculately clean. There is plenty to do in the area - we enjoyed Dungeness though it is a very unique landscape and might not be to everyone's taste. If you are organised and sort things at least three weeks in advance you can even book a tour of the nuclear power station. And for a more traditional visit then Canterbury is stunning. And the Royal Military Canal offers great walking/running/cycling opportunities just a short distance from the site. We will be back!

Howler Monkeys

Dont ignore the arrival times because if you try to get in early you will cause all manner of grief ! The site is approached by about 2 miles of very narrow lanes and there are very few places to pass . The hardstanding pitch (fully serviced No 7) was a nice size with plenty of space for car and awning . Everything on site was well kept and nicely tended . The heated amenities block was also very clean and in very good order . There is a dog walking field and access to farmers fields etc from the site . Waking up to the sound of Howler Monkeys was a novelty . Daleacres is ideally situated for great beaches , Romney,Hythe,Dymnchurch Railway ,channel ports , zoos, etc etc .The pub at Botolphs Bridge is a bit of a walk but the food is spot on .We will return

High standard

Usual high standards, stayed for the Easter weekend where the site was full and wardens were very efficient with checking in etc. The site has changed over the years with far more hard standings which is a positive but on the negative the capacity has increased so you do feel a bit squashed in. In addition,  it seemed a shame the TV room was boarded up, this was such an asset to the site on rainy, cold days, my children used to love waiting to see what the 'movie of the Day" was.     We also had Easter Egg competition and Halloween parties and quiz nights for the kids in the past, so it does seem a pity this room is not used when am sure other sites would love to have it.

Pleasant Site

The site is up to the normal C/Club standards clean and tidy. Handy for the Port of Dover and local attractions, supermarkets are close by in Hythe. Have used this site previously and will return.

Lovely relaxing and quiet site

This was my first venture out in a caravan for over twenty years so chose this site to test out my new caravan and equipment.  It was perfect as it was nice and quiet, well laid out with excellent facilities. The staff were very helpful and provided assistance and information when requested. I will certainly be returning the the site in the future and getting out and about to enjoy the local attractions.

Rather isolated for motorhomers with no other transport

We have just spent three nights at Daleacres. The weather was chilly and rainy so we probably didn't see it at its best. The site is clean and orderly and the warm toilet block and hot showers were great. The welcome was friendly but the lady was rather surprised when I said that we wouldn't be going back there. The main problem was the isolated location on a narrow road. OK for caravanners but Motorhomers need transport such as bikes,a little car etc unless they like long walks. We have a motor scooter to get around but riding down to the pub after dark was quite scary. The road does not have any white lines or cats' eyes so it was difficult to see the road. If you want to use public transport it is a very long walk to the bus stop.  The pub, Botolphs Bridge, was excellent with a very warm welcome and delicious food. If you have transport and like peace and quiet this is the site for you but not for us.

A lovely clean site

We were the second arrival of the 2015 season. We were greeted very warmly by the wardens who had the site well and truly up and running. We were on a serviced pitch which was very nice - wish more sites had them. The weather was very much on the cold side but the loo block wad lovely and warm and the showers very powerful and clean, except on a couple of occasions when it was purely down to inconsiderate members who couldn't be bothered to clean up after themselves- such a shame when the wardens work so hard. The location of the site was great to getting to places. We had a meal at The White Horse at Bilsington - 6 miles away from the site but well worth it. Be warned! Don't have a starter course!! The portion sizes are massive and beautifully cooked. Certainly a site we would return to
