A lovely spot
We have come to love the 'no facilities' CAMC sites, they are even more peaceful than the regular sites. We came to Dockray Meadow as we wanted a getaway during a brief fine spell and it is near our home in Brampton.
We did not move our motorhome during the 4 days of our stay but contented ourselves with local walks, Lamplugh churchyard is well worth some time as is a visit to Cogra moss reservoir. It was also ideal for one of us and the dog to do a little fell walking right from the site, egging a clutch of 3 Wainwrights.
The dog exercise area was most entertaining with some agility equipment which our dog didn't totally understand but it gave us a laugh.
The site was fairly full but still quiet and peaceful. The limited facilities were fine and Covid precautions were very evident.
