We have just come back from the bank holiday weekend and on arrival we were met at reception with a big smile from Arnie Arnold ( the warden) and that smile never left his face all weekend. What a lovely couple they are they are a credit to the caravan & motorhome club, they are very helpful, friendly and made the weekend very enjoyable. They have provided dog toys and a small agility with a couple of jumps and a tunnel ( nice touch) We had a tad issue with our awning and we spoke with them both and it wasn't an issue and they accommodated us. The site is immaculate very pretty and quiet in fact all you can hear is the birds tweeting. we walked the 7.5 mile cycle route that we downloaded from the caravan club and a I think it needs updating The Sun Inn pub is now two houses and the Stork hotel is very hit and miss, we did however stumble across Ennerdale Brewery and they made us very welcome, we tried a couple of bees (rude not to ) and the food was reasonably priced we walked to Ennerdale Lake this is beautiful and defiantly worth a visit. We most certainly will be back :-) A big thank you for making the weekend so enjoyable
