We have just enjoyed 2 weeks at this site extended by 2 days (as long as we were able because of home commitments). Firstly, having read the previous review, have to correct what was said: tv was available with the usual booster cable, wifi also is available within the hot spot as per the club book site information. Whilst we were on site we had the pleasure of meeting the wardens and assistant wardents who were helpful, friendly and knowledgeable. The site is so peaceful most of the time. Unfortunately there was an incident offsite with a resident who was arrested on the adjacent static site which did cause a disturbance mid afternoon and some late evening/early morning noise made by someone who thought he was Elvis Presley which was not associated that we know of, but it was short lived and nothing to do with the clubsite. As regards installing toilet facilites mentioned by another member: no thank you. We feel this would spoil the tranquility of the site and as nearly all of us have our own facilities, this is not necessary and there are other sites in the Lake District that do offer full facilities for families and those who require them. ps. the sunsets were to die for, we can't wait to return.
