We have been using this site every two or three years for the the past 35 years and it rates as probably our favourite site. Beautiful location yet convenient for the shops and eateries etc of Dulverton, and fantastic walking on the moors. Although it was full all the time we were there it was very peaceful, no rowdy groups or loud radios. Debbie and Keith do a great job of running the site, everything clean and tidy and very well managed. Good fish 'n' chips from the local chippy, great cream tea and a marvellous breakfast at the Copper Kettle (not at the same time of course!) Co-op supermarket decided to close for refurbishment during our stay but they kept a small "essentials" pop-up shop going and there are other shops that provide most of what you need, eg butcher, fruit and veg, deli etc. We will definitely be back.
Excellent Location
We had a lovely weekend at this site. The site was full but very quiet. We didn’t use the facilities as we had our own in our motor home. We particularly liked the location as you could walk into Dulverton with its shops, cafes and pubs where we found the locals to be very welcoming and friendly. There were walks by the river and through the woods which were very enjoyable even in the rain. We will definitely be returning.

Exmoor week
In the charming village of Dulverton, tucked into a quiet valley with a most scenic river running through it, this site is very well positioned for visiting Exmoor, the north Devon and Somerset coast as well as the town of Tiverton. Two adults and two dogs, we found the onsite facilities great, the staff friendly and helpful, the dog walk a bonus but the location was fabulous with a small park area beside the river just outside the site on the way into the village.
Lovely location
Lovely site in Dulverton, a great small village by the river Barre. Plenty of access to walks. Nice village within a minutes walk
Excellent church to visit. Some good pubs and restaurants.
Co op and great butchers. Also a fish and chip shop.
We will be back - probably the best site we have ever visited
A lovely peaceful and well run site in a beautifully scenic area. Very close to Dulverton, a little town steeped in history. Could not fault the team running the site, if only all wardens were as good. Cannot recommend highly enough. This was out third visit and we will be back.
Great location - walks from the site
Lovely site - clean and quiet. Great for walking and dogs. We found 3 main routes out of town into hills, forest and moorland. Tarr Step is about 6 miles one way and you can either go there and back through a mainly forested route or turn it into a loop across the moors.
Lovely site
We were very pleased when we stayed on this site for 3 nights. Plenty of dog walks in birridge woods or along the river. Very convenient to the lovely local village of Dulverton. The fish & chip shop was reasonable and food lovely. The site facilities are excellent too. Very clean and well thought out in the shower cubicles. Overall very impressed.
I would say to anyone new to this site ….to look out for the small site sign as you come over the bridge, if you miss the turning by the bridge then it will be difficult to find a way to turn around in a Motorhome or caravan as the road narrows quickly.
Lovely walks from this site
We have stayed in this site many times over the years and keep coming back. There are some amazing walks straight from the site. There are a variety of lovely shops a five minute walk away and a Co-Op and a brilliant Butchers in Dulverton so you don't need to take a lot of food with you as it is all there in the village and well as a Chip shop which is excellent.
My only complaint on this visit is the fact that Nobody on site could get TV. There is a TV connection point on the electric bollards for a booster system which has always been adequate for a reasonable TV coverage. On this occasion this did not work at all and we were told the Club is no longer servicing this booster system. Just a warning to Members who cannot do without their TV whilst on holiday.

still a gem .
It was great to be back to our most favourite site ,all credit to the lovely wardens who keep the place spotless and blooming with the lovely flower displays ,love Dulverton village with all its amenities on your doorstep ,great fish and chip shop and lovely watering holes all dog friendly have already booked to come back.
Favourite Site
Another year and another stay at our favourite site and very hot weather, it also
has two of the best wardens Keith & Debbie you would ever wish to meet.
The site was looking lovely even with Keith recovering from a broken ankle and
doing what he can and Debbie running the site almost single handed so well
done Debbie and hope the Club reads this.
Hopefully will return in the autumn and defo next year.
