Small & Quiet

Our first trip to this site, and very pleasing indeed. The river runs along side it which can be heard rushing over the stones. The places available alongside it tended to be taken by motorhomes and had no grass between each pitch, also not much room, but the others were set around the site nicely to all have a good view of the woodland/forest above. The facilities were all kept very clean and the wristband procedure worked 90% of the time. We found on occasion that an odd person would have either left the band on the hook, giving the impression someone was still inside or, that sometimes more than the 2 allocated people would be inside, than the 2 bands on the door. This aside, all worked very well and we didn't feel at all unsafe using the facilities. Dulverton is right on the doorstep, a short walk from the site and you're right into the town with a Co-op that provided all that we required, and reasonably priced. Children, we didn't bring our grandchildren but no play park on site didn't seem to be a problem as across the bridge there is a local play park that also has goal posts/football area, assuming this is available to anyone of course. We ended up on pitch 57, no sunshine available unless we sat in the road, so if sun lovers, try opposite or round the other side. We'd gladly return, a most relaxing enjoyable stay indeed.
