Good for families

We did it Kemps Way.

When looking for a base to explore the Exmoor National Park and its surrounding area, we chose Dulverton as it seemed to be best placed for all things Exmoor. And when your surname is Kemp and you see a site located in Kemps Way, then why look any further. To be fair we did a little more diligence than that, we read the reviews which were all extremely good. Having now spent 4 nights there, we can confirm that our views are the same as the other reviewers. It's location is perfect. How nice is it to be at a site that is 5 mins from a town that has a proper butchers, greengrocers, chip shop and pubs. To be surrounded by the National Park as well. The people are 'proper' country folk too. How can you tell? They say, 'hello' to your dog first. The facilities are top notch. Isn't it nice to have a heated shower block and loo. Pitches are nicely laid out and the Staff are professional and friendly. There were no downsides at all. There are some things to be mindful of though. Remember the altitude in Exmoor ranges from sea level to 1300 feet plus. If you're in a valley you might not get a good TV or Phone signal. That said our Sky/O2 phone signal was okay on site. TV reception wasn't so good. The consequence seemed to be that everyone was hitting the Internet, which had its moments. Lack of TV signal didn't bother us too much. We were so exhausted from walking up and down the hills and together with the sound of the river in the background we were asleep quite early most nights.
