I stayed over Whitsun Weekend, when the site was busy. I had a pitch on grass, overlooking the racecourse itself, and was impressed by the amount of room I had. Although the office was closed when I arrived, my welcome pack was left out for me in a little box by the office door, and when I went back to pay the warden was lovely - very friendly and helpful, as you would expect. Since I don't have children, I'm not able to comment really on how good it is for families, but it had everything I wanted. The little club in the building next door served no-frills, reasonably priced food, and again they were very welcoming. Yes the washrooms are a bit tired, but spotlessly clean and perfectly adequate, and it needs to be remembered that these belong to the racecourse, not the Caravan Club. It was good value for money and I will gladly stay there again in the future.
