Handy Stopover, but you wouldn't want to stay long

We stayed here for one night in November 2016, as a stopover after visiting the Pensthorpe Nature Reserve. It's one of the few sites open at that time of year. The layout was peculiar, for a caravan site, in that in pitches were in odd places, dotted around the racecourse. The facilities were all there - hookup, water, toilets, showers. The problem was that the washroom facilities were all dual-purpose, so not ideal for motorhomers or caravanners. The men's toilet block was cold and cavernous - not at all welcoming. Wash basins were open. The shower looked stark and uninviting. The location was OK, but you couldn't really get anywhere easily with bicycles. Nothing was within easy walking distance. We wouldn't go back there, unless it was as a handy stopover to get somewhere.
