Peace at Last

This is a great site if you are looking for peace and quiet. As there are no kids allowed it is not family rated. The staff were excellent and very helpful. Both the fishing lakes are well maintained and presented. I would use this site again. The only downside to this site is the distance from the local Pub or shops but there is a small shop on site that sells most essentials. The local fish and chip shop is a must, they serve up large portions.

Lovely peaceful site

Our fifth visit here as we like it so much.  Lovely and quiet, pitches are a good size, wardens are very friendly and helpful, facilities are good and very clean, very good disabled facilities, we can't fault it!

Very enjoyable late May Bank Holiday weekend

This was our first visit to the site and we weren't disappointed.  The site was very neat and tidy, and although we used our own shower, a look at the shower block showed it to be clean and modern. The site wardens were all very pleasant and helpful and kindly moved us to another pitch on our arrival to accommodate our caravan which was too long for the pitch originally allocated to us. We had our Sunday lunch at the "Three Tuns" in the village of Doddington which was excellent and definitely worth a visit. The on-site fishing was very good with everybody catching decent sized carp along with some nice roach.  I even managed to catch a 4lb Ide from the 'pool' lake which was a bonus. The on-site shop has good stocks of tackle and bait at very reasonable prices.  We will visit again I am sure.

Fishing and Walking

First time visit. Excellent all round. Good walking with dog. First time coarse fishing. Staff very helpful and knowledgeable. The fishermen on both lakes also very friendly and helpful. Because of all this I caught loads of good fish. Definitely will return.

May visit

Peaceful site, ideal for visiting Cambridge, Ely and the RSPB sites. Could do with another shower block.  Wardens very friendly.  Felt welcome.

very pleasant two weeks

We spent two weeks here as non fishing caravanners. Fully serviced grass pitch excellent, facilities modern and spotless, basic essentials in reception, although plenty of fishing supplies. Great views all round the Fenns and some superb sunsets. Transport required for visiting many Nature reserves, interesting towns and villages etc. Nice pub serving good simple food in the village. Will definitely return.

Very rural

On arrival pitches are allocated. Good site if you intend to fish but apart from Ely, not alot in the area. cannot go anywhere without a car, not even Doddington, the closest village. Previously were at Ashridge Farm, a brilliant site

Great site.

We stayed here for seven nights over the May 1st Bank Holiday. The site is great and i understand the fishing is excellent,we saw a 15lb Carp caught and released. We had a hard standing pitch which was fully serviced.Shower block etc all clean and tidy. There is also an onsite wooded area to walk dogs or have a stroll around. Well worth a visit.

Sublime Peace

Lovely peaceful site, immaculately kept with good facilities on our large serviced pitch. The dogs loved the walk around the lakes and in the woods straight from the van. Showers and loo block very clean but electric showers and cubicle arrangements not the best. Very friendly and helpful staff. Our first visit but I am sure we will be back. Overall, an excellent weekend and well done.
