The site itself is well run BUT the Loch and the play area are public areas. We didn't realise that they have ongoing problems with local teenagers using these areas and throwing things periodically at the caravans adjacent to the perimeter fence and using colourful language. On our first night a cricket ball was thrown at our van at 11pm at night which caused a dent to our van. We spoke to regular users and they said they knew this was an ongoing problem and they only used the site if they could be in the middle of the site or could move to such a pitch the next day. The site have ongoing talks with the police about these problems; the reception staff said that they haven't had any problems "this year";but as the site was closed because of Covid we think this speaks volumes. We have never written a review before but feel people should be aware this is a problem that is not likely to go away. We spend a lot of money on our outfits and it is a shame that our we and our outfit should be subject to such an experience - I was on my own when the cricket ball was thrown and was very upset. We asked about CCTV and we were told it wasn't possible. We weren't told about these issues when we selected a pitch and we feel we were not fully informed of the situation. It gives us absolutely no pleasure to write such a review.

Sorry to jump on this but I cant figure out how to leave my own review but my experience has been similar to yours.  I tried to speak with owners this morning before we left but couldn't see anyone.

We booked as it advertised a play park on site (we have a just turned 2 year old), it wasnt clear that this playpark was part of a public country park. We arrived on Monday afternoon, a group of teenagers set fire to part of the park meaning the fire brigade had to be called. Then on Tuesday we took our son to the playpark - it was public and not a private on site park, this meant the debris (presumably) from the group the night before was left behind including a glue bottle. We returned to the park at teatime it was full of same group of teenagers, they were extremely abusive and one pushed past my son on a little rope bridge knocking him over. We had to leave with a very distressed little boy. Obv we will never return here as it just does not meet our needs, I feel the description on the website is very inaccurate. We have also had to endure 3 hours of football training directly behind us which was very noisy and kept my son awake. Unfortunately not the relaxing couple of nights we had hoped for.

Shame as overall the park seems very clean and our neighbours were lovely, ruined by local youths
