Nice few days

Despite the weather (wet and windy) had a good stay mid September. Wardens very friendly and helpful. Peaceful open location but very handy for A5. Yes toilet block not the most modern but clean and perfectly adequate. Bit of a downside was the onsite 'shop', only toilet chemicals and ice creams, no milk or bread etc, but it is a very small site so maybe that's understandable. In some ways a bit like a large CL. Good location for exploring the area. Snowdonia and Chester easily reachable and nearer to hand Llangollen and the canal / aqueducts, and some National Trust places. Excellent food at the Grouse in Carrog. Would happily return.
