We arrived on the site just as it re-opened at the start of the season in 2021 and everything was spick and span. Ann and Martin had done a great job getting everything ready and made us feel very welcome even though they were having to deal with a lot of arrivals on the same day. Even with the COVID restrictions in place the facilities were more than sufficient. The site is a great location for exploring the Machars including Wigtown and the Isle of Whithorn. There are some lovely walks directly from the site, especially going south to Cruggleton Bay and the gardens at Galloway House. The Harbour Inn is a short walk away. It does pub food at lunch and in the evening, with a large beer garden out the back. Dogs are welcome. We will go back next year.
