A few days on the Gower
We trail a folding caravan so access etc was ok for us but I read that some outfits found it difficult - tight bridge - narrow busy lane (which remarkably is part of the West Wales coast Path); not an ideal section for weary walkers! The site is lovely - seems more spacious and relaxed than some sites; lovely staff as always.
We were warned about train noise but absolutely no problem - the road noise was slightly more than expected but no real problem. Slept fine with all windows open! The site is adjacent to a built up area so facilities are within easy walking distance.
Cycle paths everywhere - footpaths also but the access road was busy at times - not suitable for children as there was no footpath. The country roads are obviously narrow - take care - traffic was generally very polite and passing places were provided on the smaller roads.
The area is beautiful - wonderful beaches - views everywhere etc. etc. Carreg Cennen Castle on the edge of the Black Mountain is quite special to visit .
Please do not be put off by some of my comments - Do visit this lovely part of Wales (and the rest of Wales of course!).
