Good for families

Again a lovely visit to a fabulous site

We have been here a lot in the past as we have family nearby. However the flower display by the warden's hut was amazing, this was the first time we have been at this time of year. So uplifting. The site is always clean, wardens really helpful, we have been here for 2 extended periods of time this year and still enjoyed the site. Locally the Rake and Riddle is good, however venture into Swansea to SA1 and there are some excellent restaurants. It only takes about 15 minutes to get there as long as you avoid rush hour. There are a couple of big Tescos within about a 15 minute drive , one in Llanelli combine it with a walk along the Millennium path and one at Forest Fach. The beaches are wonderful and although they take time to get there worth it to see the stunning scenery and in some cases massive expanses of sand which can take loads of people without feeling busy. Using the cycle track to Mumbles from the site was a fabulous experience - mostly off road and tarmacked, we also used the Millennium Track from the site, which has a heard surface although not all tarmac. The road noise is not a problem, people do have to get around!
