I absolutely love Grafham Water site, can’t say that about my Golden Retriever though, she is scared of loud noises, the local farmers have gas poppers going every half an hour which is loud my Goldy thinks it’s a firework and was petrified. The first time we came we had to cut out break short because of this as my Goldy was so scared, I have returned many times on my own without her. We came again a few weeks ago and completely forgot about the noise until we had set up, we were only there for a quick 2 nights away, it didn’t start until the Saturday morning, we kept her in the caravan so she alcohols to hear it, but will only return again when I’m on my own.
On the other hand this site is ideal for walkers and families, it has a park and is so close to Grafham water which is a 9 mile circular walk, with lots of water sports and a lovely park and cafe.
Also lots of walks from the site doing geo caching which is a great hobby of no one has tried it. (Google it!)
Lovely clean showers and toilets, an Owl sometimes makes an appearance on the bird table in an evening.
