Our ew favourite site

I think we have found our new favourite site. Great location. Fantastic walks. Brilliant place if you want peace and quite on site or off. Well done to the wardens for the hard work in keeping things clean. What lets it down, people who think they don't have to clean the shower out after they have used it (men and woman) but then, that's the same which ever site we go too, shame on you all. It takes a few seconds - leave as you expect to find. Anyway, well done wardens, on minimum wage, you do work hard. 10/10 Pete & Bev.

Delightful

What a lovely peaceful site. We find club facilities very clean but these were the best so far. Well done to the wardens.

One of the best sites we've visited

We had a very warm welcome from Andrew and a very efficient check-in from Julie. The site is beautifully maintained and we had a lovely sunny hardstanding pitch (number 37). The site is very well maintained with a spotlessly clean facilities block. Julie and Andrew also had time to speak to everyone when they did their evening walk. Look out for the huge owl as well, - I didn't see him, but my husband did! Thank you from Mrs B!

Idyllic!

Arriving at Grafham Water is a joy in itself! A floral display at the entrance that would delight any gardener, it was both colourful and welcoming. Checking-in was simple and efficient with Dawn suggesting the best locations. We followed her advice and opted for a hard-standing pitch for the first time. It was perfectly level and so the levelling boards remained in the bag! Throughout our stay, Carl and Dawn were always to be seen interacting with campers and dealing with any issues/queries/requests. Our issue with our gas supply was quickly identified by Carl as a faulty regulator and he arranged for an engineer to replace it the next day. This was terrific Customer Care. The site was beautifully maintained and the facilities were superb. Beyond the site is Grafham Water with its 10 mile cycle track around it. There is a Visitors Centre and the Harbour Bar that offer refreshments whilst on the circuit. We chose the site for the cycling paths and we made much use of them. Brampton is a nearly community that has a good pub with an impressive menu. Other reviewers have commented on the facilities in the village of Grafham itself. A 'library' at the site entrance is packed with lots of helpful information on places to visit, walking and cycling routes, where to eat etc. In summary, this was without doubt the most perfect site we have stayed at. The ambiance, the lay-out, the care taken by the Wardens made it an idyllic stay for us. The location lived up to our hopes by enabling us to enjoy hours of cycling. This site is a jewel in the crown for the Caravan and Motorhome Club. Thank you, Dawn and Carl!

Wonderful atmosphere

We have just had 10 days on this site which was perfectly maintained, could not be faulted. The wash block was amazingly clean and the grounds were immaculate. The wardens were the most friendly that we have encountered on any site and have lots of local knowledge. They have created a wonderful atmosphere on this gem of a site. There is a rental cottage on the site in a lovely old building and sadly the tenant seems to leave its dog home alone all day and it howls early in the morning. Our pitch was 100m away and we could hear it clearly. We will certainly return to this site.

Best kept site we have been to

Grafham Water campsite is above a small village, on a small lane but well sign posted. the site is 61 pitches and the toilet shower block is extremely well look after. They are spacious, the water pressure is amazing and the showers are capable of very hot water. There is a laundry room with big industrial machines. The grounds are well kept and the grass is neatly trimmed. This site is a lovely quiet site with dark skies. There is a lovely dog walk from the site, with plenty of walks close by. The playground is good but slightly small. The site doesn’t have a shop but there is a well stocked village community shop about 1/4 mile from the campsite. The Pizza man came on Friday and Sunday evening, and the Indian in the village does takeaway. The staff on site are very helpful and kind, thank you for working so hard.

First time but we will be back

4 days early Sept. This was our first visit to this site and I have got to say what a lovely welcoming site it is. I was a little dubious when travelling towards the site entrance as the roadway is very narrow but no issues. On arrival we were greeted by the wardens who even took the time to show us the available pitches and point out the sunny ones 😊 We opted for a grassed pitch which was well maintained as were all the facilities. We had a fabulous time as we managed to drop on the mini heatwave, The site was immaculate a proper example of what a CAMC should be like. Then only thing that I found was that there were no bins at the service points, you had to carry your rubbish to the site entrance where large 'Biffa' style bins were kept, not really a problem but a little confusing when you are stood looking around for them. Other than that a very nice site that we will be visiting again.

Pleasant site

A pleasant site with everything up to the usual club high standard. Slightly disappointed that we were told we could not drive our motorhome onto the pitch but must reverse up to the marker "as we like uniformity". First time we have come across this in five years. Hope this is not a new club policy. We like the choice depending on the position and condition of the pitch.
