Horrific road noise and absolutely no tv reception or WiFi! Or even radio reception!

We booked five nights here and cancelled 4. The reception upon arrival was not helpful and friendly. We arrived in the pouring rain and were given a pitch right next to a really busy, fast and loud road. We could not even put on the tv or tune the radio in to drown out a bit of the noise but you can pay an extortionate rate for a cable in their office. No WiFi unless you buy it for ONE device. Ridiculous. I would have expected much better for a club site. I had to lose one night’s booking fee for early departure which I shall challenge because the facilities were so poor and the representation made on the website says poor tv reception but there is NONE and the receptionist said you do need a cable for that site. Is the mobile signal deliberately blocked so you buy their WiFi ? This is not what I would expect from a club site and I now wonder if I can trust what they say about other sites. We moved next door to Swiss Farm touring park and it is fantastic. Friendly, safe, WiFi, tv reception, good space between caravans.

Hi, I read the latest review of this site and felt that I really needed to comment. We arrived on site on the 9th October 2020 to be greeted by wardens who were accommodating. We then found our pitch which happened to be near the busy road that we had read about and yes, it’s a bit noisy, mainly due to the inconsiderate drivers who totally ignore the 40 mph speed limit..but not the clubs fault. We carry coax cable and were easily able to secure a perfect TV signal. We are also signed up to the clubs WiFi for a year which has been perfect on this trip, but also carry a MiFi with a prepaid data card for personal banking etc. The blocks are immaculate, yes, the COVID measures put in place are tight compared to some other sites but designed with the best interests at heart. There are numerous beautiful kites who circle above the site which is awesome to watch. Henley is brilliant, we ate at the Bull on Bell street which was lovely and also we noticed the 3 Tuns in the centre of town which had a great menu which we will sample next time. It been a great trip..thanks. Andy
