Access to site is a little difficult although other road users seemed to be quite obliging by pulling in or reversing when confronted by a caravan. On reaching site welcomed by lovely warden who couldn’t have been more helpful. The warden also rang us whilst we were off site a few days later to advise us that our air awning had sprung a leak which was very good of him. Rather surprised at the length of the grass round the site and the state of the pitches that were covered in weeds some of which would have taken a trowel to remove. First three days were damp but after that we had six glorious days with no rain but only minimal amount of grass cutting undertaken during this period and none round our area. The areas where the trees have been removed has been left very uneven and this coupled with surrounding long grass meant that it was safest to negotiate the site by the road only. The service points were plentiful and lack of toilet block not an issue and is reflected in the Site Fees but my wife and I did not feel that the grass situation and pitches were up to the standard normally found on caravan club sites and we have over the course of 30 years visited a good few. Perhaps this is a temporary blip. The site is very peaceful and only the birds can be heard apart from the occasional aeroplane overhead.
