3 night stay

Arrived at midday and looked to find out booking in procedure as it does vary from site to site. I saw a warden in the office, but at the base of the ramp which lead to the entrance I read, NO ENTRY. I then spotted a sign on the wall which said to ring the site number in order to maintain safety to staff and members of the public. I called the number which was answered by the answer machine....I could see the warden through the glass but she didn't respond to me. Meanwhile a motorhome pulled in beside mine and the driver just walked into the office, I decided to follow. When it came to my turn to be spoken to I remarked about the phone and the woman behind the screen said, 'we haven't got time to answer the phone, we'd be here all day!' I was also told there was an additional notice, which I read on exiting the office. It said that due to poor phone reception new arrivals should enter the shop if they felt able. I found it all a bit confusing, and unnecessary, I also noticed the the words NO MASK, which were chalked on the ramp above the NO ENTRY instruction. I will leave that there as I could say a lot more about her attitude, but I won't. Many other reviewers have commented favourably about the wardens, You can decide for yourself if you visit. The traveller site next door was very noisy at times, so avoid pegs to the right of the site entrance, where you'll also have road noise. I can see why so many people are attracted to the site as there is so much to do in the area, but we won't return. We've stayed at several sites in the Wareham area and this one was sadly nowhere near the top five.
