Lovely weekend

We have just returned from a great weekend visit. The site is really clean, tidy and well maintained. The wardens were very helpful and welcoming. We were near the road on a service pitch, but the traffic did not bother us at all, there was no road noise at night. The * site is next door but again apart from a few dogs barking this made no difference to our stay. There is a nice pub up the road, the silent woman, which is really good, about five minutes walk along the road having turned right out of the site. Food is reasonably priced, big portions and lots of choice on the menu. They don't allow children inside but they can go in the garden, lovely on a summers evening. Dogs are welcome inside! Make sure you book a table as it is busy, info on their website. Watch out, the information says there are buses to Poole, this is not the case. We came in the motorhome and didn't bring the little car because we thought we could catch the bus, but it is a two mile walk to the bus stop. So we contented ourselves with a few walks in the forest and a meal in the pub.
