Having been in the club for nigh on 37 years I can only say how let down I feel with the clubs attention to maintenance. We have stayed on 9 sites so far this year and a similar situation has been apparent with respect to maintenence on most. We noticed here that0⁸ hardstandings had weeds in the chippings,the same on other sites,edges between grass and chippings are not defined as they used to be. The no mow May seems to be extended which I assume is inline with clubs drive on all things environmental. Here the steps to the facility block were cordoned off, appear to have been for sometime I assume because they were unsafe,water tap at the motorhome service bay out of service also I noticed during this Fridays rain the guttering around the facility block was leaking at the joints and overflowing due to blockage,giving you a shower when entering or leaving the facility, it looked as if it was again due to maintenance. When talking to site managers on these issues it appears maintenance is at the discretion of area management. The club appears to want to spend money on refurbishing sites but this seems to be at the expense of routine maintenance. The club says it is lowering prices on certain sites but I feel it is also lowering its standards. TV reception and WiFi are poor. Wardens were very welcoming and friendly.
