So welcoming

Thank you to Hippo and the Team for making our weekend. So nice to be warmly welcomed - they went above and beyond and worked extremely efficiently under pressure of the first day open this year. First time with our trailer tent, although we have been here many times over the years. The site is in beautiful countryside, near the beach, the Village Inn (old punk rockers need to look up their history, everyone from the Sex Pistols to the Jam played here!!!), a great caravan shop, local store, a Thai restaurant that takes dogs and buses to Cromer and Sherringham.

Good site for October break

Stayed for 4 nights in Oct 2023 in a touring caravan. This site has nice atmosphere and is split into numerous areas so doesn’t feel like a big site. In October one half was closed but there was a good choice of areas. A few pitches at the top have sea views. Many reviews mention levelling issues - we’re used to grass pitches on small sites & so not a problem for us. If choosing a higher terrace be aware that water points aren’t available on most terraces so requires water to be pulled uphill or taken downhill. We have a continental van so to comply with pitching instructions almost every requires our window to be up to trees and shrubs at back of pitch - hence no view. All dogs encountered were under control. Walk to coastal path from top of site is approx 30 mins. Rocky Bottoms restaurant is recommended. Coast Hopper bus is useful.

Great break

Thoroughly enjoyed staying at this site, the location is great. locally there are lots of walks including access to the beach, train is 10 minutes walk and bus service. In the village there is a very well stocked caravan & camping shop which I had to use. On the way out of the site I had a mishap and the caravan came off the car..... Got it back to reception where a very helpful member of site staff (wish i had remembered his name to thank him online) who assisted me, loaned some tools and we managed to get my caravan wiring back into the plug and tested it. We then had a walk into the village to replace the breakaway cable which needed some more tools. Lovely part of the country, we caught the train to Sheringham for the 1940's weekend, some great places to eat locally too. Stayed from 10th Sept to 21st.

Friendly and very helpful wardens

My husband lost our caravan key and the spare was left inside. A warden on site was really helpful, trying to find ways to get into the caravan without breaking the door. Eventually after a long while we managed to get in, without damaging anything So thank you to this really helpful warden, I don’t know his name We normally visit 2 or 3 times a year for long weekends as it’s not far from home. It is particularly a pretty site and ideally located to the sea and local village and towns.

One of our favourites

Returned for second visit of the year, really does tick all our boxes - great location with walking access to Cromer and Sheringham. Lovely restaurant and pub within walking distance. Very clean and impeccably maintained. Staff all very friendly and helpful. We’ll be back!

Incredible Incleboro

We have visited Incleboro several times and love the way the site is spread out with many different pitching areas to choose from. However with a site that is spread out like this it is probably not the best idea to try and centralise the bins as people seem to be leaving their rubbish where the bins used to be. Site is great for walking with many footpaths leading from the site and local walks info in the information hut. We walked into Cromer and Sheringham, railway station close by if you don't fancy the walk. West Runton has a grocery shop, pub and some other shops and there is a great fish and chip shop in East Runton and butchers.

Excellent Site, Fantastic Staff!

What a fantastic site! We had a lovely 5 days on this huge site at the end of July 2023. The site is really well laid out with the option to be on quiet areas away from others or to be mixed in with more people. The facilities were very clean and working well. The site is very hilly in places, so blocks are needed. But we found the grass to be quite solid, despite of the wet weather. It was also super windy, but very sheltered where we pitched. The staff were so friendly, very happy to have a chat /be around if you had any questions. I was disappointed there wasn't a shop just for basics, but West Runton isn't far and an ice cream van did come around a few times, which pleased my daughter! The play park is obviously quite new - although more just a climbing frame - no swings or slide. But a very large area to play ball games and there was a basketball ring. We will certainly be booking again! Thank you

Time for a pitch level

We have stayed at this site several times as we love the area. This time we stayed during monsoon season (July 2023) and I was a little annoyed about the grass pitches. I know they have always been uneven and that you need numerous leveling blocks to get that spirit level bubble in the middle, but this time due to the wet weather I was skidding and sliding like Bambi on ice trying to get my caravan onto its pitch as did other vanners. We really do love the site but I think that 90% of the grass pitches could do with some kind of re-leveling as when it rained myself along with others were flooded out with nowhere for the water to go due to the ditches and holes in the grass. Even the awning looked like someone had put it up in the dark wearing a blindfold. Some pitches are now so well worn that I wouldn't like to be anywhere near should the handbrake fail or it slip off its levelling blocks. Other that that another enjoyable stay with lovely staff, fabulous views, clean facilities and enjoyable walks.

Great wardens but probably the last visit

Been to this site many times, the wardens are fantastic. Unfortunately the club has decided to put fully serviced pitches on Incleboro as you enter and the whole of the RHS. They are very expensive (nearly £50 per night) and the rest of the site is very undulating ( we’ve stopped the other side) of the site and it’s quite a walk to the beach and it flanks more of the golf course!! Other members voiced their dismay , we like sites and not CLs. It’s such a shame but there are other sites close by .
