Dark
Sorry if repeating what others have said. It’s a pretty site, very rural but not far from M6. Because it’s set in beautiful ancient NT woods it is dark, that said if you walk along the river to Kendal you’re soon out of the woods and in open countryside, it’s a lovely walk but it is over 3 miles each way. The farm shop and cafe is close by and looked lovely but didn’t use, same for the pub. If you’re like us, in a motorhome, it’s bit remote, no bus service, 2 nights was enough.
