Not great in the rain
We are new to caravanning and seem to learn something new on every trip. The lesson here was “don’t park your caravan under a tree in the rain”
It rained much of the week and we felt quite depressed as there was no view, just stuck in the caravan in the rain in the forest under a tree that dripped, dripped, dripped. When it wasn’t dripping water it gave us leaves, seeds of some sort and the regular small branch. I didn’t sleep for a week lol.
On the converse side, if it had have been sunny, it would have been nice to have the tree shade us!
Being fair, the staff were amazing, the walks nearby brilliant and the toilet block really good. From memory, even the internet signal was good.
We didn’t enjoy the Lake District too much as we felt hemmed in most of the time. The towns were mobbed and we often gave up trying to find a parking space. We visited the Keswick site and if we ever return to the Lakes, we will stop there us it was a lovely site and an easy walk into town.
