Ticks all my boxes

This site has it all. It's located in stunning scenery with proper and immediate mountain views from each part of it. It is itself in an almost sylvan setting with mixed evergreen and deciduous trees throughout. The facilities are good, modern and well maintained: management are friendly and helpful. The immediate location is superb - handy for the two local shops which between them carry a decent selection of stuff and considering the relative remoteness of the area,it's all reasonably priced. The local hotel [circa 250 yards away] has a brilliant selection of real ales [5 on last time I was there] and an eye-watering range of malt whiskies. Their food is good, based on local seasonal produce and again the prices are pretty user friendly. There is a small cafe even nearer the site [circa150 yards on the Torridon road] This no greasy spoon tourist trap but provides interesting and well prepared food at reasonable price. Handy for touring to Gairloch, Torridon, Applecross, Lochcarron, Inverewe and little more than an hour from Kessock bridge. Its on the NC 500 and the road occasionally attracts lunatic bikers who go faster than is wise for the roads and make more noise than they should but they tend to be an infrequent irritant. TV and wi-fi are limited TV needs a cable hook up and even then gives only BBC1+2, STV, Ch 4 and Sky News.I count that as a blessing but others may not.
