This site is at the Knock Shrine and is extremely peaceful. If you were listening you could hear the bells ringing for one of the 4 services each day but if you had a radio on or were chatting they didn't disturb you at all. We were there for 4 days and it wasn't until the second day my husband heard them at all! There is a path from the site to enter the Shrine which is well worth visiting even if you aren't religious. The mural in the Basilica is amazing and the museum gives you an insight into what life was like when the apparition was witnessed. The original church has had the Apparition Chapel built on to it and a representation of the apparition created in there. This site is also a great base for exploring the Mayo area in general which we did. The site is very well maintained and the facilities are clean. Free wifi is available on site and the staff are friendly and helpful. We would definitely use this site again.
