As always the site was well run and the wardens were very helpful and friendly, we didn’t use any of the facilities so cannot comment. Our biggest disappointment was the cycling, the site was described by C&MHC as good for cycling, sadly we found it far from that. The road outside is extremely busy and must be used if wishing to access the promenade (2 mikes away) we found it quite scary in fact. The town is 1.5 miles away and frankly was a little tired. The prom is very nice and the West beach is especially so, with dunes and pebbly beach leading onto sand at low tide. Noise is detectable from the road and railway both nearby but not so intrusive as to be a problem. We just wish the club would be clearer about the location and not use vague terms like not far, a short drive away, or within easy reach, as Motorhomers we feel this is unhelpful.
