Good for families

1st and last visit

First visit to this site with family and grandchild. The entrance road is long and narrow in places but negotiable with care. This site is ideal for family with children visiting Longleat Safari Park. The entrance to walk into Longleat is just outside the caravan gates with the Safari drive through just a few yards up the road. It has a nice dog walk through a small wood on the edge of the site. It is a very busy site with many families staying with children. It is a little different of course with the covid restrictions in place. The wardens were helpful and friendly around the site. I did find the bands for the toilets and showers a bit of a pain. After leaving your band other people would take them. Also many people forgetting them after using the loo,s leaving people queueing outside when the toilet block was totally empty. The families on this site at the time of our stay left a lot to be desired. Gangs of children running about at 10pm screaming and shouting outside people's caravans. Had to ask a group of screaming girls to move away at 10.30pm who were collecting all the stones from our pitch. They removed hundreds then started throwing them around caravans and motor homes. We should not have to drag the poor wardens from their beds to address these problems. The parents should be aware what their kids are up to at this time of night. Would not visit again due to noise shame that some spoil it for others.
