We have never visited this site before and were really impressed with the over all cleanliness and maintenance of the site. It was beautiful and very modern, with lots to do for families. All staff were friendly and approachable. The pool was open and again was well maintained and clean.
This was half term that we were visiting so as expected there was a lot of children on site. The only downside to the site was the children running around until it went dark. They were all over everyone's pitches and generally very noisy in the park area. This went on until 10pm when it went dark. They treated the equipment badley and showed no respect for peoples personal spaces etc. Maybe a few more inspections by the wardens is needed to keep it in check. My advice would be to stay on the pitches at the bottom of the site away from the play areas.
This site sets the standards for other Caravan Club sites. The staff were very friendly and helpful always with a pleasant word and a smile. The site is located just five minutes drive outside Looe. Although we were told it was possible to walk in and out, a very steep hill and no path we were very dubious. The facilities are top class, always clean and never crowded although we visited in Mid May. The on site children's facilities including the heated swimming pool looked inviting although at peak times may have been different. If visiting this site be sure and visit the Coddy Shack which serves top fish and chip suppers (take away or eat in) and is located next door to the site.
Yes we will be visiting again - a five star site, top class.
First time we have used this site and we were very pleased from start to finish. Our children loved the modern play and football area. The mini-golf is also a laugh. Showers are very clean and warm, the chemical point is top notch, all the bin areas were neat and tidy with regular emptying. We used the serviced pitches which are huge and all services adjacent. One thing to note: The grey waste is at the rear centre of the pitch so if you intend to run pipes from the caravan to the drain, you will need quite long pipes (unless your waste exits the van at the rear!). There is also a fenced in dog walking area with lovely views and only a horse as a neighbour which is great. Very friendly staff and one of the best fish and chip shops just round the corner! Happy days!! I believe it does get very busy in peak-season and I understand why.
I was pleased with site as somewhere to stay for a few days at Easter, it didn't suffer from noise from outside the camp whilst I was there.
I have only one criticism, the exit from camping area involves a very tight U-turn, with nowhere to park the outfit, without blocking the site entrance, whilst one returns the pitch marker to the office.
Second visit to the site, fantastic as very quiet this time of the year, but imagine very busy and noisy in the summer. Staff very friendly, Toilet and shower block spotless. Same old problem with the Wi-Fi though, didn't get anything above 1 mbps. It is not worth paying for something that is not fit for purpose.
