Good for families

Very crowded and sloping pitches

Agree with a number of other recent reviews. Could be a great site if you're lucky enough to get on the nicely spaced hard standing pitches (though even a lot of those would benefit from some leveling work) but on the grass pitches it's not good. They're too packed in, front, back and side. They're on a significant slope (2 directions). When we arrived it was packed despite covid and the restrictions on the numbers using the facilities (though that wasn't such a problem if using your own as we were). There needs to be some management of pitches to ensure longer vans can get on a suitable pitch when it's that busy. We were given the site plan and the 4 or 5 vacant pitches highlighted but once you've driven past them to look at them the only way back is to exit the site at the barrier and re-enter but new arrivals are then entering in front of you and theres a good chance the pitch had then gone! Other than that it's a good site and in a good location with good access (no single track lanes to negotiate). An planning to return but we've booked a service pitch to ensure we're not on the grass!
