For me probably the best club site on the network. Very sensible approach to covid without having it rammed down your neck, wardens very okay about it without being anal like some are. Beautiful mature trees. Very peaceful thanks in part to the responsible dog owners that didn't allow their dogs to bark. Some sites are unbearable with barking dogs. Night time was a revelation with good darkness by sensible not over the top lighting. Many sites are lit like a circus. Great 8 mile bike ride from site to Coverbridge, Middleham and up to Leyburn, many great pubs on route. Nice pub at lane entrance for a beer,no food but good atmosphere. I don't understand why some pitches were put so close to one another so as to not allow an awning, I understand fire regs. But this is a club not an outright commercial business out for every penny. I know it is vital to make a profit but given the net worth of the club it is a shame the number of none awning sites could be eradicated by providing more room. Less pitches, give us a bit more room? not possible I know but on future plans perhaps or when carrying out revamps. Make them all awning pitches! would save a lot of faff.
