An excellent warm welcome from the wardens. Having never visited the site before we drove around before choosing a pitch near the picturesque old lime kilns. Pitches were well spaced and as usual the whole site was immaculate and had a lovely peaceful and quiet country feel . Due to CoVid there was a good system in place which limited users to the facilities. This seemed to be working extremely well and I only had to wait once to use the shower block and even then only for a couple of minutes. Facilities may be a little older than some other Club sites but very clean and plenty of hot water; couldn’t really ask for more . As others have said a 10-15 min walk into Leyburn and plenty of great walking and cycling in the area ( it helps if you like hills). A very good value site we thought and if that may reflect the “ dated facilities “ then actually we thought excellent value and leave as it is rather than increasing the price per night as on other Club sites
