Lovely site

Second visit to Lucksall, this time only for 2 nights on route to Dorset, rather than a week as previous, and it did not disappoint. Lovely site, with an abundance of planting and trees next to the river. It is incredibly peaceful, even though we visited in the middle of the school holidays. On this visit, as last time, the pitch we were allocated was with other campers travelling without children - I don't know if this is a coincidence, but it was appreciated. The pitch itself was spacious, level and well maintained. There are a few toilet blocks, so not far to walk from any pitch. Showers are the push button type, but it's a minor comment. Since our last visit, the far end of the site has had more statics added. Handy little dog walk round the edge of site to the footpath to the river and the woods. We didn't eat in the restaurant on this visit (was good last time) but did stop in for a drink, sitting at the side of the river - lovely! Location is good - called in at Henry Western's brewery for holiday supplies, before heading on to Goodrich castle, which is worth a visit. Would recommend this site
