We (my husband, myself and our dog)stayed here for 2 nights in October. On arrival it was very quick and easy, the staff were very friendly. Our first impressions of the site were very good, it looked very well kept and clean. The facilities are very clean, there were enough showers and toilets and even had under floor heating. The walk into Ludlow town takes just under 40 minutes. The site has a nice little dog walk. We will definitely be using this site again.

Just spent 3 nights at this site. This was our first visit to this site and found this to be a fantastic site. Whilst we are use to staying at club site we found this a step up in quality from club sites. With very spacious pitches and a very impressive toilet block. During our visit there was a fish and chip van on Friday and a pizza van and gin bar on the Saturday and Sunday. The dog walk was also fantastic with lovely views. We walked into Ludlow on both the Saturday and Sunday. The walk took about 35 minutes each way. We loved Ludlow with plenty of cafes, a market and the castle. We had a very enjoyable Sunday lunch at the Blue Boar., close to the castle Square. We will make a return visit.
Spotless site with a great welcome which felt very Covid safe
As I stated in my title, the site is spotless. The toilet/shower block are cleaned in the middle of each day and that is enough to keep everything squeeky clean. We spent four nights at the site and didn't once spot anything that could have been cleaner. The shop is well stocked with caravan/camping spares + more. The prices cannot compare with internet pricing but when you've forgotten to bring that thingamybob or wotsit the shop prices won't seem that bad. The one thing that I would like to change is the time of the toilet/shower block cleaning, checkout is at 12:00 and when you just want that one last wee for the road the toilets are still being cleaned. The disabled loo's remain open but you might have to queue.
The Covid rules are strict enough to give a sense of safety but not to strict to be overbearing.
This is our second 'Morris Leisure' site visit and we'll definitely be visiting again.
First Class
We normally prefer small rural 5cls but this is a first class affiliated commercial site owned by Morris Leisure and much better in our view than normal Club sites. Large well kept pitches, not overgrown by trees (that the Club seems so fond of), so not stuck in the gloom and plenty of sun for all. This made it easy of course for satellite signal although tried the terrestrial without booster and that was also ok for us. Very clean site, bins emptied regularly, grass always mown, very well stocked shop, firm but very polite staff managed COVID rules well. Fantastic enclosed huge dog walk that was heaven for our two working Springers although for some it was obviously not worth the uphill walk on the edge of the site as it was usually empty. I cannot comment on the facilities as we have not used a communal toilet block since we had young children and really no need if you have a serviced pitch and equipment on board. The only negative was the small gravel used on the hard standing that seemed to tread into the caravan.
We will be back, time permitting.
A damp 3 nights in Ludlow
A warm welcome on arrival was given, especially considering the weather and the floods we had to get through to get to Ludlow. First time here and site didn't disappoint, especially as our previous two outings were also on Morris Leisure sites in Bridgenorth and Llanberis. All are very similar. Large pitch here in the Adults only area, and the site was well laid out. Not too busy on Thursday but filled up on the Friday, which was suprising as they were offering 3 nights for the price of two in November. One word of note, TV signal poor, so had to go to the well stocked shop to get a Co-ax extension lead. Wifi signal good, washroom, showers and toilets very clean and warm, and a Fish and Chip guy was there on the Friday night which was delicious. Bus ride into Ludlow from camp entrance, £5.90 return for the two of us, but be careful as there are only 4/5 buses per day into and out of Ludlow. Thoroughly enjoyed the town, lots of independent shops and nice pubs. Try the Blue Boar directly over the road from the bus stop. Didn't see the site at its best due to the adverse weather conditions but would certainly return
Fabulous site
As mentioned in previous reviews, you get a warm welcome at Ludlow.
A large modern reception area with a well stocked accessories shop, and the site itself is kept very clean, with good size pitches. The pitches are divided into area's to break things up a bit, it's very open with no shrubbery or trees around the pitches themselves, which are hard standing with grass surrounds.
Ludlow TP has a good sized enclosed field for dog walking, and the town itself is lovely, and a must to visit.
If you select a service pitch be aware the water point is set back and between adjacent pitches, so you will need at least 35' of hose to your caravan, you will also need ~ 10' of waste hose to get to the drain point ( The site sells extension kits should you need them, like we did!)
This is an excellent site, we will return at some point.
Excellent site in good location
Very warm welcome by wardens on arrival. Lovely well spaced and immaculately kept site. Great location for exploring Ludlow, easy walk into town and bus stop at the entrance to site for the way back. Would definitely recommend this site
Very nice site in a good location
Stayed recently for 3 nights - would have liked it to have been more, but had to get home. Very well run, and everything was kept clean and tidy. Large well spaced pitches, which were mostly level. The staff were very welcoming, and very forthcoming with information when required. I'm not particularly keen on being allocated a pitch. However, I can understand why so many commercial sites do this, as I'm sure that it makes management of the site and their booking systems much easier. The bus to town was very convenient, although not particularly frequent. However, it is worth it to experience the delights of Ludlow. Its a splendid little town with lots of character and history. Walking directly from the site is a bit limited, but I would recommend the walk around Mortimer Forrest. The walk along the lane to get there is not particularly nice because the path is very overgrown, and the traffic is quite fast. However, once there it is very peaceful. It was a pity that there was not a pub/restaurant within walking distance of the site. Ludlow has plenty of these but the buses do not run late enough to be able to get back after an evening out. However, you can't have everything.
Slightly dissapointed
Arriving at Ludlow Touring Park we were warmly welcomed at the reception....we had a great fully serviced pitch and did not need to adjust our motorhome at all dead level.
My niggle comes from personal choice as I felt the park lacked character that may change as it ages....Bus service from the top of drive was a bonus although the 40 min walk into Ludlow is very easy....
For a Five star touring park I was very disappointed with the shop chilled milk and orange juice was the only option in the chilled cabinet ....couldn't even by a loaf of bread as they do not stock any short shelf life items....Mmmm not very five star!!
Stayed one week will return
On our arrival at Ludlow Touring Park, the reception building was very well laid out and the staff were very polite and helpful. On settling the balance of payment they kept my club membership card as a deposit for the return of the barrier fob and toilet key. The pitches for caravan and mobile homes were on the whole fairly level, the pitch number 122 where we were staying only needed adjustment on the jockey wheel. The park is just under 2 miles from Ludlow. There are plenty of Pubs / restaurants which allow dogs. You are also allowed to take your dog into Ludlow Castle.
We will be retuning to Ludlow Caravan Park.
