We stayed on this site for 4 nights in mid June. It is a lovely peaceful place well away from any traffic noise. The facilities on site were very good, and everything was clean, tidy and worked. A walk along the beautiful Lydford Gorge (NT) is a must, but be sure to wear stout footwear because there are some slippery bits close to the water. The cycle ride along the traffic-free track to Oakhampton is easy and well worth doing, although Oakhampton itself is not particularly exciting. Dinner in the Castle Inn was good but not outstanding. The site owners/wardens were friendly and helpful. PS - It is worth noting that this is a popular and busy site, so there are a lot of comings and goings.
