Only stayed for one night on our way south. The countryside around was flooded and roads were closed and there were roadworks so getting to and away from the site from the M5 was difficult and tedious. Not the site’s fault obviously! Our welcome was warm and when I explained my husband’s disability the staff could not have been kinder or more helpful. They suggested a pitch, showed me where it was, helped me to get unhitched on the pitch and were generally brilliant. The next morning we were able to hitch up without help but the wardens came out to check us over and were ready to help if needed. When thanked they shrugged it off, saying it’s part of their job to help members. We will certainly return and stay for longer as it is a lovely site.
