Family break

We visited the last two weeks of August, and have stayed at the site many times in the last 18 years. I guess, due to covid 19 restrictions, the site was busier than normal. We had a trouble free arrival, and by chance, we arrived at the site at the same time as our friends ( so 3 caravans in total.) the wardens were extremely helpful, and had highlighted suitable pitches for larger units, so avoided us having to drive round and round. We found 3 pitches relatively close at the very front of the site, to the right of the office. Turned out to be great pitches as sheltered from the frequent high winds! We never used the toilet block or showers, so can’t comment on the system used. The laundry room was immaculate, as always though. We had fish and chips and pizza from the delivery vans that came to the site -both great but can be a long wait. Great walks from the site, and the surrounding area is beautiful. My only complaint is that there were spaces in front of our caravan allocated for a tent. They weren’t used, but had the been it would’ve been very cramped for all of us. I am sure it was within the legal space limits, but that wouldn’t have been great Obviously not the wardens fault, and I guess a directive from head office. There were many rude tourists in the area, who felt it okay to park across the locals drives and block narrow lanes on the access to local beach. I witnessed one resident trying to ask a man to move, but he refused. I don’t think for one minute these were people from the site., but please be mindful of the locals.
