Once again, we used this as a one night stop-over, the site being literally metres from the A1 North bound. Located behind a high bank which is surprisingly effective as a sound barrier from the busy carriageway, we would still consider this a peaceful site with peripheral noise of the traffic.
The site is nicely laid out around a collection of fishing lakes, is well maintained with plenty of opportunity for places to dwell - benches by the lake, seats amongst flower beds etc. Excellent sized hard standing pitches. The site offers a pleasant dog walk around the lakes, which although does not allow for off lead, it does give a pleasant stretch of the legs.
For the facilities, these are minimal in number (i.e. only 2 showers per block), one block newer than the other, coin operated hairdryer and push button showers - not ideal or can people not be trusted to turn off the water when finished using the showers. However, there is a separate dog shower cubicle!
Would recommend for brief stays rather than long term and we will certainly be using it again on our travels.
